Apply: U.S. Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Grants

The U.S. Embassy in The Gambia has opened applications for the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund.

The fund is designed to support high-impact, quick implementation activities which benefit a large number of people within one year without requiring further assistance.

Benefits

  • Successful applicants will each receive U.S.$6,000

Eligibility

  • Open to cooperatives registered with the Gambian Cooperative Agency (GCA)
  • Nonprofits (international or local) can also apply
  • All projects must begin on or after 30 September, 2022, and should be completed within one year of the award date
  • U.S. Embassy Banjul encourages applications from all provinces
  • All interested cooperatives must have an active registration with the GCA at the time of submitting their applications
  • Organisations are encouraged to have a unique entity identifier (UEI)
