Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate (TLG) fellowship programme is a joint effort between the US Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA/AC) and the American University in Cairo (AUC). TLG offers students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) a unique opportunity to pursue higher education and earn a master’s degree at the AUC in one of the following graduate programmes:
- Economics
- International and Comparative Education
- Migration and Refugee Studies
- Nanotechnology

- Full tuition fees for the fall and spring semesters

- Internship/practicum opportunity including local transportation costs if needed
Eligibility
- Only the nationals of the following African countries are eligible: Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia
- Only candidates that meet AUC graduate admission requirements
- Only candidates with strong academic potential with a bachelor’s degree minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent
- Only candidates who are proficient in written and spoken English
- Only the candidates that possess maturity, flexibility and leadership potential, demonstrated in a combination of extracurricular activities, recommendations, and interviews
- Only the candidates that can demonstrate financial need
