The Capacity Accelerator Network (CAN) initiative develops data science talent for climate and health impact across Africa.
Benefit
- Fellows will receive a monthly stipend and are expected to be physically present within the government department or SIO office during the assignment period
- Fellows will receive a stipend of $1800 monthly for the duration of the fellowship
Eligibility
- Applicants should have a completed first university degree, capacity for independent academic research and study, at least three years of working experience in data management, analysis, and visualization, good communication skills, strong expertise in technology and data science, and a working knowledge of African country contexts concerning climate and health
- Candidates must have successfully completed a first university degree, and demonstrate a capacity to undertake independent advanced academic research and study
- Candidates must have three years working experience in data management, analysis and visualisation
- Candidates must have good communication skills and possess good quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills
- Candidates must have strong expertise in technology, systems development, big data, open data and data science
- Candidates should have working knowledge of the contexts of African countries, in respect to climate and health
- This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available to carry out duties. The selected fellows will be expected to participate in different activities and to strictly follow the programme
