Tarbell has opened applications for its Fellowship Programme for Journalists.
The Tarbell Fellowship is a one-year programme supporting journalists dedicated to reporting on artificial intelligence.
Benefits
- Stipend of $60,000 to $80,000 to support placements for early-career fellows
- Stipend of $90,000 to $110,000 for senior fellows (with five or more years of experience in journalism or AI)
- Fellows receive world-class training, hands-on newsroom experience, mentorship, and financial support, enabling them to cover AI’s societal, ethical, and policy impacts at leading global media outlets
Eligibility
- Previous newsroom experience (including at student newspapers), desirable but not necessary
- Deep interest in artificial intelligence and its effects on society
- Excellent writing skills
