Sightsavers is seeking to fill the role of Driver Admin Assistant.
Sightsavers is an international non-governmental organisation that works with partners in developing countries to treat and prevent avoidable blindness, and promote equality for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive staff, visiting Sightsavers staff and consultants
- Ensure the maintenance and safety of all office vehicles at all times and perform clerical duties in support of the efficient running of the office
- Provide day-to-day administrative support, including messenger tasks and duties, banking, liaising with visitors, receiving and directing calls, taking messages, receiving and circulating incoming and outgoing mails, distributing documents, assisting with workshop events and travel arrangements, undertaking photocopying, scanning, filling, purchasing of office supplies and other administrative duties
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate (with five passes), clean and valid driver’s licence, extensive driving experience including defensive driving skills and solid work experience gained within a busy NGO office environment
- Fluency in English
- Communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of equality of opportunity for people with disabilities
