Save the Children is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of HR and Administrative Coordinator.
The organisation works to ensure children around the world get health care, food and shelter as well as learning and child protection services.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective HR and administration services, working hand in hand with the director of support services
- Coordinate all aspects of office HR and administration functions including recruitment, investigation, HR systems, staff contracts, payroll and documentation, staff medical insurance, health and well-being
- In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Administration, Social Sciences, or prior experience in human resources role
- Humanitarian/development professional with a relevant masters’ degree or equivalent professional experience
- Seven years of experience in both emergency and development contexts, preferably with substantial experience in programme and donor engagements
- Experience in coordinating the development of large-scale or strategic proposals, including the development of multi-million-dollar project budgets
- Experience with U.S., Swedish, EU, and other significant donors’ processes
- Excellent organisational, coordination, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, summarising and synthesising complex information for various audiences
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Solution and results-oriented, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets
- Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams in emergencies
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Commitment to Save the Children’s values, including willingness to abide by and enforce the child safeguarding policy
