Plan International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Logistics and Procurement Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and procurement coordinator to manage relationships and processes relating to partners and stakeholders
  • Implement office risk action plans
  • Analyse and consolidate office requisitions
  • Liaise with suppliers and recommend an updated list of suppliers half annually to the administration and procurement coordinator
  • Comply with Plan International’s policy and procedure on procurement, storage, inventory, distribution and receipt of all purchases made
  • Initiate and review relevance of the purchase tracking and procurement processes for effective feedback and monitor procurement
  • Carry out regular field visits to verify delivery and usage of project material according to purchase specification and implementation plan
  • Prepare procurement reports on time
  • Ensure all vehicles and motorbikes are registered, insured and licenced according to local regulatory legislation
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date motorbike and vehicle records
  • Pay all office rental and related costs in time
  • Ensure that Plan International offices and premises are adequately manned and secure according to the organisation’s policy
  • Carry out physical verification at least biannually and submit updated asset registers
  • Promote and abide by Plan International policies and procedures including, but not limited to, gender equality mainstreaming, safeguarding children and young people, code of conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities

Requirements

  • Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Five O’level passes including English Language and Mathematics
  • Three years of relevant work experience at a similar level
  • Ability to interpret and work in accordance with laid down procedures
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
  • Nationality of Zimbabwe
