Plan International is seeking to fill the role of Project Manager.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and capacity for project management, including implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities
- In collaboration with the component specialist/leads, ensure timely and quality implementation of project activities in accordance with Plan International PIQP and donor standards and requirements
- Ensure tracking and monitoring of all project contracts for timely and effective execution, including tracking of instalment payments as per agreed contract terms
- Review ToRs for various project activities while ensuring such activities align with the overall project strategy, as well as demonstrate value for money
- Conduct periodic field monitoring visits for information triangulation, provision of on-the-spot technical support to field project field teams, ensuring all project files (online and offline) are updated
- Review all project reports as per the quality reporting guidelines, ensuring all reports are submitted on time
- Design, develop and implement any strategy, mechanism, tool and guidance material to ensure successful implementation of the project’s protection component activities as the parent component
- In collaboration with the different component specialists, prepare financial documents to be submitted to the supervisor for approval
Requirements
- University degree in Social Sciences, Legal Sciences, Rural Economics, Rural Development, Project, Programme Management, or a related field
- Five years, minimum, of experience in the design and planning of projects on child protection and/or gender-based violence, with a perfect knowledge of the planning, programming and monitoring/evaluation procedures of projects
- Experience in the implementation of integrated projects with several components
- Five years, minimum, of continuous experience in humanitarian project management
- Practical and relevant experience in emergency interventions
- Solid experience in project management with large budgets
- Strong experience working with vulnerable groups
- Skills in statistical data analysis, evaluation, social impact assessments
- Fluency in English or French (written and spoken) plus experience working with one of the two languages
- Computer literacy and good reporting skills
- Good knowledge of international texts on children’s rights and the rights of displaced populations (refugees and IDPs)
- Knowledge of texts on refugee status, Plan International’s policy on protection, community mobilisation, gender, fight against GBV, education and health will be a plus
- Good knowledge and understanding of established humanitarian principles, the humanitarian code of conduct and international child protection standards
- Demonstrable technical expertise in the implementation of child protection responses at the community level
