Plan International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Project Manager.

Responsibilities
- Lead the concept note/proposal development and ensure that all proposals have clear goal, objectives and indicators illustrated by a clear log frame
- Closely work with MEAL coordinator on developing the monitoring tool for the project
- Support the implementation of project in coordination with the Oromia PA team at country office
- Provide guidance on Plan International’s corporate system
- Provide technical support to MEAL coordinator on ToR preparation
- Ensure that the project implementation in two locations is maintained
- Ensure consultation and engagement of partners in all phases of the project is undertaken
- Ensure equal and fair opportunities and representation of both sexes and persons with disabilities in the programme
- Provide adequate technical support to DANIDA project
- Engage in capacity building of project staff members in coordination with partner and thematic sector leads at country office
- Ensure joint review meetings have been conducted in the presence of partners and the organisation’s team on regular bases
- Support the MEAL coordinator to produce quality project reports and ensure deadlines are met for this
- Arrange/facilitate regular project review meetings among partner and the organisation’s programme staff members
- Participate in coordination meetings organised by UNHCR or local government
- Support donor report writing and special outcome reports
- Ensure logic and coherence between financial and narrative reports, and identify any changes to the description, timeframe of implementation and/or budget expenditures
Requirements
- Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies or a related discipline
- Five years, minimum, of work experience
- Four years, minimum, of experience in project management in an NGO
- Knowledge of evidence-based, best practices programming and standards for emergency responses
- Sound understanding of integrated development issues and critical analysis of child poverty
- Experience in both development and humanitarian contexts
- Fluency in English language
- In addition to Amharic, knowledge of local languages will be a plus
