Plan International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Project Manager.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Responsibilities

  • Organise the project planning workshop
  • Coordinate the development of key project implementation documents
  • Coordinate the planning/preparation of the project in collaboration with partners, traditional and religious leaders, CCD/CVD, CSOs and women’s associations, the media, etc
  • Ensure the execution of the action plan and all project activities
  • Ensure the protection of children and young people in the implementation of the project and immediately denounce any case of suspicion or observation of abuse
  • Promote inclusion through the active participation of the most vulnerable girls such as girls and young women outside the school system and those with disabilities
  • In collaboration with the project stakeholders (traditional and religious leaders, CCD/CVD, CSOs and women’s associations, the media), set up and manage a prevention and mitigation system for the risks associated with the project
  • Prepare periodic activity reports on time according to the framework proposed by AFD
  • Review the financial reports and ensure their consistency with the narrative technical reports
  • Develop and implement the project’s advocacy, visibility and communication plans
  • Initiate activities to capitalise on good practices and project achievements and communicate internally and externally on these good practices
  • Develop the procurement plan in collaboration with the department in charge of the administration of Plan International Togo
  • Prepare the tender documents in collaboration with the department in charge of the administration of Plan International Togo

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Law, or Social Sciences
  • Five years, minimum, of experience as a coordinator of a project of a similar size in law or other social field
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects/programmes and in designing training curricula
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in managing large budget development projects
  • Work experience tied to gender issues, special education, rights-based approach
  • Experience in influencing (advocacy)
  • Proven experience in managing grant projects with donors
