Plan International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities
- Execute overall project management
- Guide the project implementation, including developing work plans, budgets and competency table with responsibilities and mandates
- Build, strengthen and manage partnerships with local and regional governments, private sector partners, institutions and other stakeholders
- Contribute to manage donor relations and the donor contract
- Ensure overall management of all human, physical and financial resources related to the project
- Monitor performance of the project management team to ensure all milestones set in the annual work plan are met
- Develop mitigation plans to reduce risks and take corrective actions to remedy any deviation from the work plans
- Guide knowledge development, documentation, communication and branding in close collaboration with the donor
- Identify and follow up on funding and partnership possibilities in collaboration with country management and business development team
- Lead the process of orientation, ongoing development/training and capacity-building of staff under responsibility in accordance with organisational requirements
- Share information within the project team on the results and lessons learnt from the livelihoods, market, and cash assessment in a logical and regular manner
- Ensure information sharing within the project team before/after distribution monitoring, price monitoring, results and lessons learnt in a systematic and timely manner
- Share information within the programme team on livelihoods, market and monetary approaches and support documentation of lessons learnt, approaches and good practices
- Manage the internal and external knowledge sharing process with WFP and among WFP cooperating partner agencies in Adamoua and support these processes within and among Plan International offices at the national, regional and country levels
- Participate in global/regional projects/networks as needed
- Coordinate resource mobilisation efforts through proposal writing and engagement
- Manage multiple colleagues and work with remote colleagues to form an effective virtual administrative team
- Use Plan International procedures to resolve conflicts between colleagues
- Resolve problems that are not covered by the established process
- Analyse possible causes of problems and propose solutions to resolve them
- Refer, if necessary, the case to PIIAM for review
- Prepare and submit project reports and proposals for national and international Plan International consumption as directed by supervisor
- Provide timely responses to questions related to relevant projects or programmes
- Provide advice and support to the implementation of Plan International Cameroon’s projects and programmes and resource mobilisation
- Work with other members of the project/programme units to ensure effective and efficient programme delivery
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Agroeconomics, Project Management or a related field linked to rural development
- Four years, minimum, of relevant work experience in managing and implementing humanitarian and/or development projects in the field of livelihoods, rural development, safety nets, participatory development and/or economic recovery
- Relevant experience with an international NGO, especially with Plan International or a national NGO will be an asset
- Knowledge in gender, nutrition, cash-based transfers, participatory approach and/or environmental protection will be an asset
- Good knowledge of WFP procedures
- Strong strategic decision-making and communication skills including reporting and presentation
- Demonstrated ability of coaching, capacity-building, teamwork, management, coordination and planning
- Fluency in French and English
- Knowledge of local language is a strong asset
- Knowledge of usual office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and regular communication channels (Internet, email, Skype)
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, research, reporting and presentations
- Proven ability to work effectively with multiple counterparts in the private, public, and NGO sectors
- Ability to work effectively with diverse international teams
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and intense pressure to perform
- Ability to travel throughout the country on short notice
- Good knowledge of socioeconomic and humanitarian context of the Adamaoua Region will be an asset
