Plan International is seeking to fill the role of Programme Assistant.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Responsibilities

  • Backstop Workers Wellness Alliance (WWA) team on various private sector engagement activities and programmes
  • Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to the planning and coordination of field-based WWA support to key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the finance manager, supporting financial and procurement activities
  • Participate in staff meetings, and other relevant meetings as requested
  • Maintain calendars and schedule appointments for the WWA team based on the knowledge of their activities
  • Assist members of the WWA team with activity logistics, scheduling and vouchering
  • Source for products, collect quotations, and perform purchase transactions
  • Prepare comparative bid analysis for tender bids, and take minutes and reports outcome for the tendering committee
  • Avail all cash requests of WWA team and pay without any significant delay to the intended purpose as per the approval from the programme manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
  • One year, minimum, of work experience in international development context
  • Strong conceptual, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to initiate and organise work while establishing priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Strong office and organisational skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Proficiency with the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
