Plan International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Community Volunteers.

Responsibilities
- Carry out community engagement activities
- Sensitise the communities to gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR)
- Organise and facilitate community outreach sessions
- Carry out active GBV case identification
- Refer survivors for medical and psychological support to partner health facilities and for other needed services and communicate challenges in case management
- Liaise between medical facilities and Plan International
- Provide psychosocial first aid to survivors
- Facilitate the targeting, management and distribution of dignity kits
- Manage community-based feedback and complain mechanisms
- Refer survivors to project assistant for remote support
- Ensure stock management, packaging and distribution of dignity kits
- Ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the MER officer
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- GCE ordinary level or equivalent
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Good knowledge of community engagement
- Six months, minimum, of work experience as a community worker
- Ability to carry out community sensitisation and outreach activities
- Mastery of the North West/South West context
- Mastery of report-writing
- Vast field work experience
- Be resident in Benakuma, Befang or Bui areas of the North West region
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to speak, read and write English as well as pidgin English
- Good community communication skills
