Palladium Group is seeking to fill the role of Grants Manager.
Palladium is a child-safe organisation that works with foundations, investors, governments, corporations, communities and civil society to formulate strategies and implement solutions that generate lasting social, environmental and financial benefits.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all grants administration, from calls for expressions of interest through to implementation
- Ensure compliance with USAID and Palladium policies
- Conduct pre-award risk assessments
- Draft grants manual and related programme documents
- Develop and implement a grant tracking system to ensure the timely and correct execution of all grant agreements
- Collaborate with technical and MEL teams as required to structure performance-based grants to achieve RAMS objectives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Development, or another relevant field
- Experience in managing grants under contract for USAID-funded programmes, preferably on USAID-funded programmes of a similar size and technical scope as RAMS
- Familiarity with ensuring appropriate risk-sharing between and/or among USAID, implementing partners and the private sector
- Experience with performance-based grants is a plus
- Ability to rapidly establish and manage multiple grants simultaneously
- Ability to work with teams in diverse locations and prior experience managing grants for complex, multi-country programmes
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in East Africa region required
- Fluency in English
