Options Consultancy Services Limited is seeking to fill the role of Regional Coordinator.

The organisation is an international development outfit that delivers innovative solutions to some of the most complex health challenges around the world.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide advice to partners on day-to-day implementation of programme activities, and actively engage with the ALM consortium and implementing partners to ensure consistent integration of programme workflows and interventions at national level
  • Represent the consortium at national level, providing technical expertise and advice, managing risk and building strong relationships
  • Plan and facilitate regular meetings with local ALM partners in Senegal and conduct regular monitoring visits to programme sites
  • Develop strategic alliances and strengthen collaborative partnerships with relevant national government departments, non-governmental stakeholders and other stakeholders who share programme values, while following strict rules of non-maleficence
  • In liaison with the SEA team, carry out validation of data and progress reports submitted by implementing partners as required under the programme
  • Create monthly reports for Options and for the consortium on country ownership progress, opportunities and challenges
  • Ensure that the management team (SMT) is regularly informed of programme progress and potential risks
  • Implement and/or animate local activities, if necessary, to ensure optimal implementation of the programme in Senegal, with the help of the SMT ALM based in Nairobi

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business, Social Sciences or equivalent professional experience
  • Ten years, minimum, of experience, with significant experience in technical assistance in the field of reproductive and sexual health and rights, as well as experience and knowledge of priority issues related to gender-based violence and female gentital mutilation in Senegal
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Significant experience in managing the implementation of programmes funded by donor entities, in particular, those funded by the FCDO
  • Diplomatic and clear communication with staff, stakeholders and customers
  • Good negotiation skills and strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and write with ease in French and English
