Options Consultancy Services is seeking to fill the role of Advocacy Strategy Consultant.
The organisation is an international development outfit that delivers innovative solutions to some of the most complex health challenges around the world.
Responsibilities
- Guide MANASO in conducting targeted SRHR/FP advocacy which will contribute to improved access and uptake of family planning services
- Develop a five-year SRHR/FP advocacy strategy with clear advocacy messages targeting decisionmakers at national, district and community level
- Advocacy strategy should be utilised to hold government accountable to the SRHR/FP commitments made in country and globally
- Enhance MANASO’s support towards increased access and uptake of SRHR/FP service especially among adolescents and youths, fighting teenage pregnancies and early/child marriages, as well as gender-based violence
- Review country and global SRHR/FP documents, including reports, guidelines, protocols, commitments, and recommendations
- Generate advocacy issues based on the review of the above documents
- Build consensus of key SRHR/FP advocacy issues with relevant key stakeholders
- Develop SRHR/FP advocacy messages targeting specific audience
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health or Social Sciences with relevant experience in health (especially SRHR/FP)
- Five years, minimum, of experience with a proven professional record working as a consultant with reputable institutions on similar assignments
- Experience in developing advocacy strategy and/or other relevant policy documents in Malawi or elsewhere
