Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.

NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
  • Support and contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, including monitoring and evaluation SOPs, guidance and tools
  • Support programme staff in planning for and executing monitoring and evaluation including data collection methodology and tools and data management, analysis and use
  • Support the implementation, dissemination and use of evaluations, assessments and monitoring data in programme development, adjustment or review
  • Contribute to organisational learning through supporting specific analysis, lessons learnt and reports

Requirements

  • Four years, minimum, of experience in an international NGO, preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting, including monitoring and evaluation capacity and systems development
  • Experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programmes, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Understand data and information needs for programme management and decision making
  • Experience in capacity building efforts using formal and non-formal methods
  • Experience in classification, regression, missing value analysis, data binning and clustering/segmentation
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and report in a timely manner
  • Ability to be proactive in working with others and have very good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in using at least Stata, Nvivo, CAPI systems (CSPro, Kobocollect) and Power BI
  • Knowledge of ArcGis, Gretl, Salford-Predictive-Miner (SPM), XLMiner, WasHMIS collect, Tableau is a plus
  • Ability to synthesise a considerable volume of technical material
  • Proficiency in English language (speaking, reading, writing)
