The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking to fill the role of Logistics Manager.

NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the country setup is compliant with the logistics handbook, NRC policies and donor requirements
  • Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures
  • Manage the logistics team
  • Ensure anti-corruption focus in procedures and trainings
  • Establish filing systems/archives according to NRC standards in all offices
  • Initiate and maintain necessary leases, licences and contracts with relevant authorities and suppliers
  • Provide regular analysis and reports
  • Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
  • Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions through working across programme and support teams and the development of relevant guidance and SOPs
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities to implement cash-based interventions and market based programmes by participating in assessments and response analysis discussions
  • Plan and implement logistics’ strategic objectives in line with NRC Mozambique strategy and global NRC objectives
  • Review and improve logistics’ structure to improve performance and cost efficiency
  • Collect, compile, analyse, investigate, research, or apply logistics data and information
  • Develop, modify, prepare or validate documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems and management information systems

Requirements

  • Three years, minimum, of experience working as a senior logistics manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Experience working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Knowledge and skills in market assessments, analysis and cash-based interventions
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal
  • Valid driver’s licence
