The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking to fill the role of Logistics Manager.
NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the country setup is compliant with the logistics handbook, NRC policies and donor requirements
- Implement NRC’s logistics systems and procedures
- Manage the logistics team
- Ensure anti-corruption focus in procedures and trainings
- Establish filing systems/archives according to NRC standards in all offices
- Initiate and maintain necessary leases, licences and contracts with relevant authorities and suppliers
- Provide regular analysis and reports
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
- Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions through working across programme and support teams and the development of relevant guidance and SOPs
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities to implement cash-based interventions and market based programmes by participating in assessments and response analysis discussions
- Plan and implement logistics’ strategic objectives in line with NRC Mozambique strategy and global NRC objectives
- Review and improve logistics’ structure to improve performance and cost efficiency
- Collect, compile, analyse, investigate, research, or apply logistics data and information
- Develop, modify, prepare or validate documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems and management information systems
Requirements
- Three years, minimum, of experience working as a senior logistics manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts
- Knowledge and skills in market assessments, analysis and cash-based interventions
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal
- Valid driver’s licence
