• Implement NRC’s ICT policies and guidelines at office level
• Ensure system security
• Ensure network access privileges, applications, data storage and regular backups are configured and maintained
• Implement and update a data disaster recovery plan (backup)
• Schedule computer-related services, maintenance and licence renewals
• Ensure installation and maintenance of protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls)
• Plan network upgrade, expansion and replacement
• Provide ICT support and training to staff
• Participate in the procurement processes of ICT equipment
• Facilitate basic computer literacy training to youth training beneficiaries in the refugee camps
• Serves as the lead I.T. liaison with senior administration, faculty, staff and students in designated area(s) to understand and interpret client needs at a division level and to collaborate across lines in meeting those needs
• Provide technical leadership on a variety of highly specialised project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems and services
• Design and install computer hardware configuration in consultation with country office
• Make sure that data and documents are uploaded timely
• Troubleshoot network and software issues
• Install high-level software security systems in consultation with country office
• Fix hardware, software, and networking issues
• Respond to general I.T. requests
• Ensure security software is regularly updated

Requirements

• Experience as an ICT officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Experience in complex and volatile contexts
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Knowledge about own skills/profile
• Fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or Information Technology
• Three years, minimum, of relevant experience
• One year, minimum, of experience in an international NGO
