The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has opened applications for the role of Finance Manager.
NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the country is set up and adheres to the financial handbook, NRC policies, donor, and auditor requirements
- Implement NRC’s financial systems, routines, and procedures
- Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows
- Manage the finance team
- Train line managers and staff with financial responsibilities
- Provide regular analysis and reports
- Implement anti-corruption policy
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Professional qualification is an advantage
- Three years, minimum, of experience working as a senior financial manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts
- Experience in West/Central Africa
- Experience with startup, exit or similar
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems
- Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal
