The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking to fill the role of Finance Manager.
NRC provides assistance, protection and durable solutions to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Ensure country setups adhere to financial handbook, NRC policies, donor and auditor requirements
- Provide coherent and coordinated feedback to the country management team with regard to the financial risks, the country needs and challenges
- Provide input on operational support in proposal, reporting development and project implementation
- Coordinate the master support budget and income forecast development processes
- Generate monthly financial reports including budget versus actuals and provide financial analysis with appropriate advice to the country management group and budget holders
- Lead and develop the finance team capacity in the country
- Conduct routine field visits to monitor compliance of internal control and financial systems
- Support in audit processes
- Implement and follow up audits and evaluation findings for the smooth running of the country Office
Requirements
- Five years, minimum, of experience working as a senior financial manager, preferably with humanitarian organisations
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems
- Fluency in both French and English
