Mo Ibrahim Foundation has opened applications for its 2023 Leadership Fellowships.
The programme prepares the next generation of outstanding African leaders by providing them with unique work opportunities at the most senior level of prominent African institutions or multilateral organisations, whose mandate is to improve the economic and social prospects of Africa.
- Benefits
- Work in the executive offices of either the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa or the International Trade Centre in Geneva
- Receive an annual stipend of $100,000
- During their 12-month programmes, fellows gain both technical and leadership skills, while contributing directly to research and policy design
- A special feature of the programme is the opportunity to benefit from the direct mentorship of the heads of the host organisations
- Fellows also become members of the Now Generation Network (NGN), through which they continue to contribute their skills and insights to building a better Africa
Eligibility
- Open to nationals of African countries
- Applicant must have seven to ten years of relevant work experience
- Applicant must have master’s degree
- Applicant must be under the age of 40, or 45 for women with children
