Apply: MFWA Story Development Boot Camp

The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has opened applications for Residential Story Development Boot camp for Journalists.

The boot camp provides a platform for journalists to brainstorm on their story ideas, and discuss more effective approaches to pursuing those stories.

A significant part of the boot camp will focus on how participants can use the RTI law to access information to advance their story development.

The residential boot camp will comprise interactive presentation from seasoned media professionals, group works, and practical story development sessions.

Story ideas must be on transparency, accountability, human rights, access to information, or service delivery.

Benefits

  • After the boot camp, participants who require and are able to justify a need for financial support to work on their stories will receive financial support

Eligibility

  • Applicants should be Ghanaian journalists working with recognised print, online, and electronic media organisations in Ghana
  • Applicant must have a story or a story idea and will want to use the boot camp to fully develop it
