Marie Stopes International Organisation Nigeria (MSION) is seeking to fill the role of Pharmacy Assistant.
The organisation provides reproductive health care and allied services in over 30 countries.
Responsibilities
- Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, ensuring all forms and consents are completed by patients
- Check out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
- Handle billing process
- Prepare patients for examination, take vital information, and record patients’ health history
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
- Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and examination
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip examination rooms with appropriate supplies
- Ensure good environment
- Supervise and manage all mini clinic/pharmacy cash transactions from sales and services daily
- Ensure the pharmacy facility is properly disinfected daily, handwashing bays put in place and maintenance of social distancing for both customers and staff adhered to
- Do stocktaking and update for restocking of all drugs, equipment, consumables, and supplies for use in the mini clinic/pharmacy
- Do remittances of cash to designated accounts daily
- Contribute to the achievement of set sales target for pharmaceuticals and services at assigned mini clinic/pharmacy
- Receive client into facility and ensure all processes and procedures are properly carried out
- Assist in ensuring all dispensed drugs are packaged and paid for by the client
- Manage proper documentation of all clients into a specified database for follow-up
- Manage client’s loyalty schemes including issuing of loyalty cards and input of loyalty points on customer cards
Requirements
- OND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with knowledge of health care product marketing
- Good understanding of the health sector especially in management of pharmacy outlets
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including a robust social engagement skill, will be an added advantage
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (particularly Word, and Excel)
- Ability to always communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner
