Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is seeking to fill the position of Senior Risk Management Specialist.

IsDB’s mission is to promote comprehensive human development, with a focus on the priority areas of alleviating poverty, improving health, promoting education, improving governance and prospering the people.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain, in coordination with the lead, a comprehensive framework for operational risk management, to enable IsDB minimise the risks of losses arising from inadequate or failed processes, people, systems, external events, and so on
• Conduct accurate and in-depth risk and control self-assessments with the effective use of risk models and relevant software to identify the scale and sources of operational risk at the level of IsDB and recommend proper procedures to log such events and quantify potential impacts
• Implement advanced operational risk modeling, monitoring and reporting, and propose recommendation regarding cost-effective mitigation measures to minimise potential losses that may arise
• Work closely with the IMDT department to develop and implement relevant operational risk management solutions to properly record, manage and mitigate operational risks
• Provide technical guidance and review the work delivered by lesser experienced team members
• Monitor the effective implementation and adherence to respective risk management policies, procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled
• Keep abreast of the latest developments, regulations and leading practices in the field and propose any necessary actions
