The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking to fill the role of Senior Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation Technology.
IRC is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development non-governmental organisation.
Responsibilities
- Undertake technology needs assessments for IRC programmes
- Design and implement project plans for countries/programmes transitioning to new data collection tools
- Configure non-standard project/programme indicators in data collection tools
- Ensure data validation is well embedded in the structure of data collection tools
- Collaborate with programme, IT and supply chain teams to plan purchase of devices
- Ensure system training and ongoing end-user support for IRC staff and partners
- Provide training to monitoring and evaluation staff on indicator databases and dashboards
- Undertake data quality assessments for current databases
- Migrate or transform existing project or country-level data into standard data structures
- Gather user feedback on data tools during and after deployment
Requirements
- Five years, minimum, of professional experience, including with technology tools used in humanitarian/development work
- Experience of configuring and deploying some or all of Commcare, Kobo, Power BI, SQL Server or Power Apps
- Experience in providing technology support
- Knowledge of standard methodologies in database design
- Experience in conducting training
- Able to work independently and efficiently in a multifaceted environment
