The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking to fill the role of Senior Project Manager.

IRC is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development non-governmental organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure programme sectors develop indicator trackers and that they update them regularly to facilitate monitoring of Tigray Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) projects and ease of reporting
  • Ensure the IRC global strategy, including outcome evidence framework, indicator selection tool and good and phenomenal standards as well as other tools/strategies, are integrated in the design, implementation and monitoring of CWI projects
  • Collaborate with the MEAL department to conduct continues monitoring and feedback/accountability of response, ensuring actions are timely and appropriate
  • Work with the safe programming unit, ensuring safeguarding systems are in place for all Tigray BHA programme activities
  • Ensure client responsiveness systems are in place for all Tigray BHA activities
  • Lead planning and handling of any external programme evaluation related to the Tigray BHA project
  • Promote a culture of respect, transparency, and accountability within IRC’s Tigray BHA-funded response activities
  • Ensure high quality and timely donor reporting
  • Work closely with the field coordinator and the safety and security team to support adherence to IRC’s safety and security procedures
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and act as Tigray focal point for support visits from global TAs and TUs
  • Work closely with the field coordinator and operational unit leads in Tigray and Addis Ababa, ensuring the Tigray BHA programme receives the support required for the timely delivery of Tigray BHA project
  • Work closely with the Tigray field coordinator and their support function teams to ensure a one-agency response

Requirements

  • Experience in working with large, multi-sectoral grants
  • Experience and knowledge of related humanitarian architecture
  • Ability to convene/chair high profile meetings and ability to productively interact with a wide range of organisations
  • Strong ability to communicate concisely and with impact in English
  • Track record of proactively identifying and communicating potential problems and proposing solutions
  • Ability to function effectively in a sophisticated work environment and to set appropriate priorities and deal effectively with competing priorities and pressure
