The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has opened applications for the role of Finance Manager.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the project’s goals
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Monitor risks and effectiveness of mitigation strategies in relation to financial management and compliance
- Actively engage and coordinate with members of the BRCiS Consortium to ensure financial alignment and transparency
- Strengthen consortium members and partners’ capacity in relation to BHA compliance rules and regulations, as well as financial planning and monitoring
- Foster a collaborative environment for effective decision-making and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with donor financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Prepare accurate financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets
- Contribute to risk analysis and monitoring
- Engage in donor communication concerning financial and compliance risks management
- Continuously assess financial performance and adapt strategies to meet evolving project needs and challenges
- Implement innovative financial management practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Promote cost-effective approaches in project implementation
- Regularly evaluate expenditure, ensuring alignment with project objectives and budget
- Lead and develop a finance team, building their capacity in financial management and compliance
- Provide guidance and training to consortium members on financial practices and donor regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; master’s degree preferred
- Seven years, minimum, of experience in financial management, preferably in international development or humanitarian contexts
- Proven experience in managing donor-funded projects, with familiarity with BHA regulations a plus
- Strong understanding of financial compliance, reporting, and budgeting
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with experience in working within consortia
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage complex project components
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of local languages will be a plus
