The Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) is seeking to fill the position of Senior Human Resources Officer.

HSDF is a not-for-profit foundation incorporated in 2013 with a mission to improve the quality of decision making and execution in the health sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support in developing and executing human resource strategies covering selection, placement, learning, career and performance management, rewards, benefits, incentives and employee relations
  • Ensure the availability of up-to-date HR information to enhance employee performance and guide working practices
  • Contribute to and support effective communication and change management exercises
  • Work with team leads in determining staff requirements whilst liaising with HR manager to meet recruitment needs
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding and confirmation of new employees, including training
  • Contribute to long-term operational excellence
  • Identify development needs and plan and execute effective learning and development strategies
  • Oversee adequate management of employee relations issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and other service providers
  • Ensure timely administration and documentation of employee benefits
  • Prepare periodic HR reports and ensure up-to-date documentation of all HR files and reports
  • Manage vendors and all contractors with utmost professionalism and integrity
  • Schedule HR expenditures, analyse variances and initiate corrective actions
  • Take up projects and other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field from a recognised institution
  • Professional membership will be a plus
  • Five years, minimum, of hands-on HR experience
  • Experience in working in a similar position and a reputable organisation (desirable)
  • Exceptional organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail, time management, and high-quality standards
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to monitor own work performance and performance of others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office with SAP HRIS (desirable)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills and project management ability
