Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung (HRNS) is seeking to fill the role of Country Manager.
HRNS is a non-profit organisation vested with the aim to support smallholder coffee farmers.
Responsibilities
- Project cycle and strategic management
- Donor relationships, project development and fundraising
- Team leadership
- Liaising with, and reporting to, HRNS headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, and interaction with HRNS worldwide
Requirements
- Five years, minimum, of relevant leadership experience in agricultural and/or rural development programmes/projects, ideally for INGOs, international organisations, or donor agencies
- Strong expertise in at least two of agricultural extension; capacity building; smallholder coffee farming systems; farm management; agroforestry; agricultural value chains; organisational development; rural livelihoods; MEAL; climate change; networking and building strategic partnerships
- Experience in Uganda is a very strong asset
- Experience with the Ugandan smallholder coffee sector is a significant advantage
- Self-initiative, and strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English
