Global Communities is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Deputy Chief of Party.

Responsibilities
- Assist in providing overall leadership, management, strategic vision, and strong technical support in the implementation of project
- Assist the chief of party in providing oversight of technical staff, ensuring project components are results-oriented, meeting their targets with high-quality deliverables on time within budget
- Manage operational aspects of project including budgeting and financial monitoring
- Manage daily project operations, overseeing quality of monitoring and evaluation and ensuring compliance with Global Communities’ policies and procedures, and USAID rules and regulations
- Contribute to development of all required project reports to USAID
- Ensure continuation of all project activities in the absence of the chief of party
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field
- Master’s degree in International Development, Government, Social Sciences, or in a closely related field strongly preferred
- Five years, minimum, of progressively responsible experience in managing a team and project components on donor-funded projects
- Experience with USAID programmes of similar size and scope
- Experience in maintaining relationships with local institutions, USAID, donor organisations, and government counterparts
- Experience in developing project and financial reports in accordance with donor guidelines
- Regional experience
- Highly developed leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
- Strong budgeting and financial oversight skill
- Experience in Northern Ghana preferred
