Global Girl Project (GGP) is seeking to fill the position of Regional Programme Coordinator – Africa and the Middle East.

GGP is an international charity that mobilises marginalised girls within the Majority World (Global South) to become agents of social change, through community development and social action.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective, equal working relationships with GGP’s Africa and Middle East programme partners
  • Oversee the delivery of GGP’s Global Girl Leadership Initiative across Africa and the Middle East, including communication with partners, programme set up, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Work with programme partners to explore and implement opportunities for Global Graduates Connect activities
  • In cooperation with partners, coordinate and deliver Global Graduates Connect opportunities for girls in Africa and the Middle East
  • Actively seek to improve and develop programming, bringing new ideas for activities and projects under the Global Graduates Connect programme
  • Share insights and ideas with the programme’s team and play an active role in developing and improving programmes

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Three years, minimum of work experience in project management in the NGO/charity sectors
  • Experience managing projects with partners across multiple partners and countries
  • Experience delivering projects remotely and using online educational platforms (ability to use online delivery methods and high levels of digital competence)
  • Experience developing strong, equitable partnerships underpinned by feminist principles
  • Experience working with and directly delivering activities and learning programmes to girls aged 13-18
  • Experience designing activities, projects and programmes suitable for girls aged 13 – 18
  • Experience delivering leadership programming and an understanding of feminist leadership principles
  • Understanding of development, racial and gender equality models
  • Experience working within a cross-cultural, international context
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Strong spoken and written English skills
  • Knowledge of the charitable sector, especially within small charities
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and SquareSpace
