Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the position of Senior Technical Officer, Oxygen.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the teams in the implementation of TA support to NACA C19RM grant
- Support the Ministry of Health (MoH) to negotiate with local manufacturers to agree on an affordable
price for LOX that health facilities will sustainably continue to procure after project
support ends - Establish a mechanism that will support the sustainability of LOX systems after
USAID support ends - Support facilities to develop sustainability plans for oxygen investments in collaboration with the MoH, and key stakeholders
- Conduct mentorship and training of Healthcare workers on the management of oxygen delivery systems and use of medical oxygen
- Work closely with the facilities medical officer in charge to document and submit quarterly project success stories
- Contribute to all USAID reporting deliverables which include but are not limited to,
quarterly reports, annual reports, and work plans - Represent the project in relevant technical working groups with the government, stakeholders and implementing partners
- Maintain excellent government, stakeholder, creative agencies, and partner relations
- Perform other related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
- Master’s in Public Health (majoring in health systems policy and management, health economics etc.), with five – seven years of relevant experience in projects of similar size and complexity, which includes experience with programme planning and implementation within the public and NGO sector
- B.Sc./BA in Public Health, Business Administration, Medical Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or its recognised equivalent with seven-nine years relevant experience with international development programmes, including covid-19 programme planning and implementation at the community or state level working with the public and NGO sectors
- Demonstrated success in multicultural environments (an advantage)
- Extensive knowledge of health and development programming in a developing country
- Extensive knowledge of the national oxygen ecosystem including policy and strategy and current investments in oxygen landscape
- Working knowledge of major donor policies (USAID, Global Fund) as well as international not-for-profit organisation
- Knowledge of covid -19, health systems, and related issues
- Proven ability to coordinate a multi-sectoral development project
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision
- Ability to organise systems to monitor administrative and implementation results
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, community mobilisation and advocacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team member
- High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English communication
- Well-developed computer skills
- Ability to travel within Nigeria 25 percent of the time
