The Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the role of Logistic and Security Assistant.
FHI 360 is a non-profit human development organisation that advances integrated, locally-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Management of travel coordination in accordance with FHI 360 policies and procedures
- Act as security focal point, including management of staff safety and movement protocols, management of third party security providers, provide timely situation assessments and recommendations for action during security incidents
- Prepare daily and weekly security reports covering significant security-related incidents and provide analysis of how each event impacts the overall safety and security of personnel and operations
- Prepare and deliver security briefings for movements throughout the zones of intervention
- Establish productive liaison with security departments at other INGOs, UN, diplomatic missions and vendor security information providers
- Establish and sustain close working relationships with managers and field-based personnel to exchange security information and provide advice
- Facilitate efficient coordination of conferences, workshops, meetings in accordance with FHI 360 policies and procedures
- Monitor and track project asset inventories
- Direct and supervise stockroom management practices to ensure compliance
- Identify office needs and facilitate provision of supplies for the needs
Requirements
- High school/GED Diploma or international equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Business Administration
- One year, minimum, with three to five years of experience providing full range of logistics and security support in an office setting
- Experience establishing startup operations/projects in new countries preferred
- Proficiency with database management software and online search tools
- Articulate and professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills in Arabic and English (highly desirable)
