The Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the role of Internal Auditor.
FHI 360 builds local capacity for the delivery of sustainable, high-quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organise, and analyse compliance risk data as part of annual risk assessment and engagement-based assessment
- Review financial and operational information to develop a risk-based audit scope
- Perform financial, operational, and compliance audit in accordance with the company’s internal audit programme
- Document processes for improving internal controls, operating efficiency, and the adequacy of records and record keeping
- Report internal audit findings to appropriate management based on the results of audits, and at any time when issues need to be addressed by management
- Conduct follow-up reviews of financial, operational, or regulatory compliance deficiencies noted during audits
- Conduct noncomplex investigations of irregularities discovered by internal and external auditor reviews under guidance of audit managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with three years, minimum, of relevant experience
- Three years, minimum, of progressive experience in finance and accounting, financial analysis, and internal/external audit
- Experience in providing outstanding customer service, performing complex activities associated with ensuring compliance with company’s system of internal controls
- Computerised accounting software experience and proficiency in spreadsheet software
- Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear and positive fashion with clients and staff
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in French language preferred
- Non-governmental organisation (NGO) experience preferred
