The Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the role of Driver.
FHI 360 delivers sustainable, high-quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services.
Responsibilities
- Drive staff to meetings and appointments as assigned
- Operate the vehicle in accordance with the FHI 360 vehicle policy and ensure that passengers comply with the policy
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle including checking oil, water, battery, brakes, tires etc.; and ensuring it remains undamaged and in working order
- Maintain the vehicle log as per policy
- Manage the daily mileage record and petrol consumption
- When dealing with outside organisations, present FHI 360 in the best possible manner by being tidy, helpful, and courteous
- Report to the supervisor immediately as possible any accident involving an FHI 360 vehicle and assist in investigation
- Notify the supervisor of any maintenance or vehicle problems
- Ensure the vehicle is at all times kept clean and tidy
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or an equivalent qualification and experience
- Valid driver’s licence with an excellent driving record
- Three years, minimum, of driving experience on highway
- Experience in the operation of large vehicles
- Sound knowledge of driving rules and regulations
- Experience with an international organisation or donor project/NGO (preferred)
- Skills in minor vehicle repair
- Good oral communications ability in English
