The Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the role of Compliance Officer.

FHI 360 delivers sustainable, high-quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services.

Responsibilities

  • Support and influence management in building a robust compliance culture based on ethical standards of behaviour
  • Manage follow-up reviews and investigations of any financial, operational, or regulatory deficiencies noted during audits
  • Promote and provide input for training
  • Develop compliance review workplans for FHI 360 offices and sub-partners
  • Work with internal audit teams for follow-up on observations raised in internal audit review
  • Review and approve compliance findings for presentation to senior management
  • Coordinate with external auditors to leverage internal audit work (as appropriate)
  • Demonstrate and apply a clear understanding of compliance methodologies, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Keep abreast with latest trend in internal management and accounting controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience in management and audit
  • Five years, minimum, of related work experience, including three years in management and three years at corporate or organisation level, or master’s degree in Accounting Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with three years, minimum, of relevant experience in management
  • Experience in developing audit programmes and managing audit processes
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff
  • Some internal or external audit experience will be a plus
  • Non-governmental organisation (NGO) experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheet software
