The Family Health International (FHI 360) is seeking to fill the role of Compliance Officer.
FHI 360 delivers sustainable, high-quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support services.
Responsibilities
- Support and influence management in building a robust compliance culture based on ethical standards of behaviour
- Manage follow-up reviews and investigations of any financial, operational, or regulatory deficiencies noted during audits
- Promote and provide input for training
- Develop compliance review workplans for FHI 360 offices and sub-partners
- Work with internal audit teams for follow-up on observations raised in internal audit review
- Review and approve compliance findings for presentation to senior management
- Coordinate with external auditors to leverage internal audit work (as appropriate)
- Demonstrate and apply a clear understanding of compliance methodologies, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Keep abreast with latest trend in internal management and accounting controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience in management and audit
- Five years, minimum, of related work experience, including three years in management and three years at corporate or organisation level, or master’s degree in Accounting Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with three years, minimum, of relevant experience in management
- Experience in developing audit programmes and managing audit processes
- Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff
- Some internal or external audit experience will be a plus
- Non-governmental organisation (NGO) experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet software
