eHealth Africa (eHA) is seeking to fill the position of Director, Partnerships and Programmes.

eHA designs and implements data-driven solutions and technologies to improve health systems for and with local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, build, and nurture relationships with potential and existing partners
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow the organisation
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for the organisation
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are informed and aligned with the organisation’s programmes and partnerships.
  • Oversee the development of effective communication strategies
  • Strengthen the organisation’s brand and image
  • Provide leadership to the communications team
  • Stay updated on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities that could impact programmes and partnerships
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across the organisation
  • Represent the organisation at events, conferences, and forums to advocate for its mission and promote its programmes
  • Oversee the design, launch, and scaling of programmes to ensure they meet the organisation’s goals and objectives
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the programmes, making adjustments as needed
  • Ensure that programmes and partnerships adhere to local regulations, donor requirements, international best practices and internal policies
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership, board of directors, donors, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s degree in a related field
  • 15 years, minimum, of relevant experience, with five years, minimum, of experience as director
  • NGO experience is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of strategies, policies, partnership and programmes implementation on a corporate level for all eHealth Africa country worksite locations
  • Excellent ability to align business objectives with employees’ core functions
  • Excellent experience in business development
  • Ability to create good partnerships with different organisations
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at partner organisations
  • Proven ability to identify and leverage synergies between partners to create mutually beneficial opportunities
  • Skilled in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements
  • Experience in managing and coordinating complex partnership projects
