The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking to fill the role of Regional Finance Manager.
DRC is a humanitarian organisation working to build sustainable futures for refugees and other displacement-affected people and communities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient management and supervision of the staff members of the finance department of the EAGL RO
- Monitor compliance with the financial rules and regulations within the EAGL RO and for all staff members
- Contribute as much as possible to efficient communication and relevant sharing of information
- Guarantee the follow-up in terms of any payment, reimbursement, and reporting to be done at the EAGL RO level
- Work efficiently and in good collaboration with the other regional managers/coordinators at the regional level
- Visit regularly the countries covered by the EAGL RO and provide technical guidance to the finance managers and finance coordinators in the relevant countries
Requirements
- Master’s degree in International Development, Economics, Political Science, Public Affairs, Business Administration or Management, or a related field
- Professional accounting or financial qualifications
- Five years, minimum, of senior leadership experience in operations management roles with three years, minimum, of experience in a similar role in an international NGO
- Proven leadership skills and competence in people management
- Significant experience in grant management and understanding of institutional fund-raising
- Proven significant financial management experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with a well-developed ability to motivate and persuade at high levels
- Proficiency (written and spoken) in English
- Significant understanding of the different contexts of the EAGL region
