Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Sexual Assault Resistance Education (SARE) Coordinator.
DRC provides direct assistance to conflict-affected populations – refugees, and internally displaced people (IDPs).
Responsibilities
- Define the strategy and the positioning of the SARE technical department in line with the overall intervention strategy of DRC in Mali
- Ensure continuous analysis of the food security situation
- Coordinate the identification of SARE needs
- Design, coordinate, formulate and write project proposals according to the established strategy
- Promote the development and inclusion of innovative and relevant approaches for the country
- Ensure the strategic link between SARE programmes and other DRC intervention sectors, particularly the Protection and Reduction of Armed Violence (AVR)
- Ensure involvement and technical coordination with the regional office
- Use appropriate tools for implementing and monitoring programmes
- Technically support the implementation of emergency and economic recovery projects through innovative approaches by promoting cash transfers (social safety nets, market system approach, support to sectors, graduation approach, etc.)
- Control the quality and monitoring in the field to ensure the services provided to beneficiaries follow DRC standards
- Support the SARE programme teams in monitoring the implementation of programmes according to planned results and activities, and financial monitoring of expenditure and budgets
- Coordinate and manage the preparation of project activity reports and ensure their quality
Requirements
- Five years, minimum, of experience in food security, economic recovery in an international NGO
- Three years, minimum, of experience in a senior technical advisory role
- Proven skills in project management and development and technical writing
- Perfect command of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven experience in the use of digital money transfers, in particular, electronic coupons
- Experience in the development and management of emergency and development projects
- Experience in supporting multisectoral teams
- Autonomous and proactive work in the search for solutions
- Experience in partnering with national partners, authorities/government and UN agencies
- Perfect command of French and professional mastery of English (spoken and written)
