CyberSafe Foundation has opened applications for the 2024 CyberGirls Fellowship.
The fellowship is designed to improve the socio-economic well-being of girls and women living in underserved communities in Africa and contribute to fighting poverty and cybercrime, cybersecurity skills shortage, and gender disparity in the tech industry, particularly cybersecurity niche.
Benefits
- Participants will be given hands-on cybersecurity training and become certification-ready
- Participants will get paid internship/job shadowing opportunities
Eligibility
- Applicants must be female and aged 18 – 28 as of the commencement of the fellowship (25 March, 2024)
- Applicants must be citizens and residents of an African country and passionate about starting a career in) cybersecurity
- Applicants must be proficient in English and have completed high school/secondary school
- Applicants must have ability to withstand the pressures of intensive hands-on technical training
- Applicants must have access to the Internet and willing to devote fully to eight months of intensive training
