Creative Associates International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the position of Operations Director.
Creative Associates International is a global development firm that specialises in education, economic growth, democratic development and post-crisis stabilisation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all programme operations, including administration, human resources, procurement and logistics, IT, communications, and grants
- Ensure high quality deliverables and relevant and timely reporting
- Coordinate the day-to-day management of operational staff in all project offices
- Support the chief of party in managing the project team, ensuring a technically and operationally-sound programme
- Lead the development of annual workplans, milestone plans, and programmatic and operational budgeting
- Ensure timely preparation of required reports and deliverables, including quarterly, annual, and financial reports, in accordance with USAID guidelines
- Ensure project activities meet client expectations and that project results and accomplishments are disseminated appropriately
- Work with the chief of party to improve implementation processes throughout the project
- Represent the project in local, national, and international meetings and events in the absence of the chief of party
- Assist in the identification, recruitment, and management of consultants, and sub awardees as necessary
Requirements
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- Bachelor’s degree with additional years of experience in similar programmes may be considered
- Eight years, minimum, of relevant experience
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in agriculture, positive youth development (PYD), economic growth, financial inclusion, or a related area
- Experience working with donor projects (USAID preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to organise programme work teams
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and to liaise, as needed, with donor and home office personnel to ensure the smooth implementation of contract
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
