Creative Associates International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the position of Operations Director.

Creative Associates International is a global development firm that specialises in education, economic growth, democratic development and post-crisis stabilisation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all programme operations, including administration, human resources, procurement and logistics, IT, communications, and grants
  • Ensure high quality deliverables and relevant and timely reporting
  • Coordinate the day-to-day management of operational staff in all project offices
  • Support the chief of party in managing the project team, ensuring a technically and operationally-sound programme
  • Lead the development of annual workplans, milestone plans, and programmatic and operational budgeting
  • Ensure timely preparation of required reports and deliverables, including quarterly, annual, and financial reports, in accordance with USAID guidelines
  • Ensure project activities meet client expectations and that project results and accomplishments are disseminated appropriately
  • Work with the chief of party to improve implementation processes throughout the project
  • Represent the project in local, national, and international meetings and events in the absence of the chief of party
  • Assist in the identification, recruitment, and management of consultants, and sub awardees as necessary

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Bachelor’s degree with additional years of experience in similar programmes may be considered
  • Eight years, minimum, of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in agriculture, positive youth development (PYD), economic growth, financial inclusion, or a related area
  • Experience working with donor projects (USAID preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to organise programme work teams
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and to liaise, as needed, with donor and home office personnel to ensure the smooth implementation of contract
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
