CLEEN Foundation is seeking to fill the role of Programme Manager.

CLEEN Foundation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the mission to promote public safety, security and accessible justice through the strategies of empirical research, legislative advocacy, demonstration programmes and publications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the realisation of programme goals for the organisation as outlined in the strategic plan of the foundation and directed by the executive director
  • Maintain and improve relationships with project partners on projects under your department and ensure reporting obligations to them are carried out in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop proposals and seek funding for the foundation’s programmes
  • Monitor all aspects of implementation of programmes, ensuring realisation of programme goals and outcomes; and coordinate effective monitoring and evaluation of projects including development of measurement indicators, tracking of results and impact
  • Work in close collaboration with programme heads, teams, and administrative colleagues in the organisation, and conduct programme staff evaluation
  • Working closely with finance and admin, prepare and manage budget for the various programmes of the foundation and ensure financial accountability among programme staff
  • Contribute articles to the various publications of the organisation; on its website and in the media
  • Provide in-depth knowledge about concepts and issues in public safety, security, research, governance and access to justice in West Africa

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, minimum, in Social Sciences, Humanities, Law or a related field
  • Certificate in Project Management (desirable)
  • Eight years, minimum, of experience in the nonprofit sector
  • Five years of programme management experience in a nonprofit/development organisation
  • Experience working around security sector and criminal justice reform programming (desirable)
  • Membership of reputable professional bodies will be an asset
  • Demonstrable team-oriented personality and leadership skills
  • Proven project development, fundraising and project implementation skills
