The British Council is seeking applications for the Innovation for African Universities (IAU) Enterprise and Innovation Challenge – Ecosystem Partner grant call.

The aim of the grant is to strengthen higher education and innovation ecosystems through a structured capacity-building programme.

Benefits

  • Maximum value of the grant is £60,000 (Only one award will be made under this call)

Eligibility

  • Applications must be jointly developed by one UK lead institution and one lead institution from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, or South Africa
  • Eligible UK leads include higher education providers with degree-awarding powers, not-for-profit research institutions, or organisations active in the TVET/FE system
  • Eligible African leads include higher education providers, not-for-profit research organisations, and TVET/FE institutions
  • Associated partners from academia, civil society, industry, and government may be included, but for-profit non-education organisations cannot receive grant funds beyond travel costs
