Amnesty International has opened applications for the role of Accounts Payable Clerk.
Amnesty International is an international non-governmental organisation (INGO) that focuses on human rights, with its headquarters in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Process payments for the hub office and the South Africa national office
- Process invoices on D365, ensuring compliance with relevant policies
- Ensure ledger entry in the accounting systems (D365 and Quickbooks)
- Ensure administration and management of petty cash on an imprest basis
- Assist in managing banking transactions
- Review staff expense claims and receipts in line with the IS/AISA expense policies on Concur
- Using reports, monitor the status of items in both D365 and Concur
- Assist with preparations and handling of external audit process
Requirements
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounts receivable clerk or accounts payable clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in using Microsoft Office applications, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Excellent written and verbal English language
- Excellent customer service and ability to communicate clearly
