Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP) has opened applications for African Change Narrative Storytellers’ Fellowship.
The fellowship aims to empower and groom young, enthusiastic journalists to tell African stories in their originality and in a positive light through their stories, news reports and content.

- Network and build viable professional relationships with other journalists and broadcasters across Africa
Eligibility
- Applicants must be early career journalists/broadcasters based in Africa
- Applicants must complete three hours, minimum, of course on telling African stories and share email evidence of completion
- Be available for one-time virtual training/masterclass sessions as part of the commencement of the fellowship as well as mentoring sessions that will follow.
- Must be willing to write two change narrative stories about Africa(ns) making changes
- Applicants must share a letter of commitment from their editor or producer acknowledging that they are allowed to go through the fellowship as well as a commitment that stories produced can be used in their media houses
